I used this word, in a figurative sense, in an email message today. I can’t for the life of me remember why.

    hey karl! this is so weird! of all the words in the dictionary, WHAT WORD DID I LOOK UP YESTERDAY WITH ALMA FOR A SCHOOL ASSIGNMENT?????? Detritus!!!! We are on the same biologically metaphorical wavelength!!
