Budding Artist

Ever since Ben attended the neighborhood Art Camp run by Ms. "Superwoman" Peri, he has become addicted to drawing. His implement of choice is a set of washable markers, which is a huge relief to his parents, because he isn’t just drawing on paper. No, drawing on paper would be too sensible. Instead, he’s been creating designs on his legs, and his face, and the bedsheets, and the shades, and the carpet, and the walls—basically, anything that isn’t moving.

At least he seems to be getting a lot of enjoyment out of it. And the Art Camp helped him advance considerably from just a couple months ago, when he wasn’t doing much more than a scribble here and a scrabble there. Now look at what he’s up to:

Okay, so maybe I’m a little biased. But I think these drawings are kind of cool.

No, Karl, you are not being biased at all; these are cool.  I bet Ginny will have much to say about these.  She can literally glance at a child’s art rendering and tell the age of the artist.  That one drawing really captures the essence of Sara–high cheekbones and all!

    Thanks for sharing these, Karl!

    Love,

Oh my word – these are amazing. I can’t stop looking at them! I’d love to have a guided tour by the artiste :-)
Mommy appears to be on the run – very typical – with Lucy under one arm and Ben having a leg ride – but smiling as she goes about her busy day.
Well done, Ben! But not on the furniture, buddy.

I’m with Cynthia. The drawings are wonderful, and I want to hear the artist explain them, too.

Wow! Those are great drawings! Look at all those lines! I’m really delighted to see these. They are reminescent of some in my ‘permanent collection’ by other wonderful 4 and 5 year olds I’ve known and loved. I know you will savor and collect these. I’ve recently culled my collection, you can’t save everything they touch, but this style and charm is brief. Enjoy!!
