Dining Room Light

Dining Room Light

The light was streaming into the dining room, so I grabbed my Kodak digital camera and snapped a shot. Unfortunately, I had the color mode on “Saturated,” so it made the colors all blocky. Also, because of the low light, there’s quite a bit of digital noise. Still, I like the warmth of the picture, and the colors, and the light on the Sean Krueger painting looks like it has caught the birches on fire.

To be retired is, partly, having the time to look more thoroughly at your web site. I never before saw this photo, which I think is wonderful. Saturated with “late light” the way it is gives it a sort of Rembrandt-esque quality. Beautiful.

Another great photo- great color and composition, contrasting forms. The glasses on the books looks posed however, even if it is not. Maybe its my baggage- I was in a home where they had an open book with some Benjamin Franklin glasses on top of it. I found it all a bit contrived.

Not posed at all. It was a long time ago, so I can’t recall why the glasses were there, but I probably took them off to take the picture and they just happened to get in the shot. I’m glad you like the picture, and I really appreciate the comments.
