Garage Spider
filed under nature: This summer has been an especially productive one for spiders in our backyard. The spider in this picture was spinning a web in our garage, between a trash can and an extension ladder hanging up on the wall.

Hey Debbi, we'll do our best to sweep the place clean. Yes, it was a close-up shot. :)

Hi Karl, all the snaps are so amazing. I was googling for Plum Tree and ran into your website and saw all the snaps..they were so compelling :-)
The snaps of Lucy and Ben are so cute and innocent.
And talking about nature, you have captured the beauty!

Wow, Rahul! Thank you so much for the compliments! It's hard for me to judge my own work, and when I see other people's photos, I usually stare at them with envy, wishing that I could capture things as well as they. So, it's always nice to hear that someone else likes the work I've done. I appreciate your taking the time to post a comment here.

Looks to be an araneus diadematus (female). A very pretty, and harmless spider. Good at keeping bugs out of the yard. Very nice photo.

Thanks for the information, Scot! Very good to know (especially, the harmless part). I'm glad you like the photo, too.

You better make sure there are NONE of these around the next time we come for a visit! Please tell me that is a REALLY close up shot and not a huge spider! Soory, I just can't appreciate this photo!
