I took this shot the night of the Future of Web Design conference in New York City, which also happened to be the day the United States elected Barack Obama to be President.

After my long walk, I arrived back at the Bentley Hotel at 500 E. 62nd Street.

Again, I was playing with slow shutter speed and flash. It was fun being able to look up out of the store and into the city above.

Inside the ground-floor glass exterior, a spiral staircase leads to the store. I was experimenting with the combination of flash and slow shutter speed.

On my walk to the hotel, I took a wrong turn and wound up in front of the Apple Store. The glass exterior was so cool that I had to take a picture of it. And go inside.

I stood in the street to take this picture. It wasn’t dangerous, though.

After the conference, I took a long walk back to the hotel. A cab ride might have taken longer.

The Future of Web Design conference took place in a venue that normally hosts rock concerts. A lot of people showed up.

After lunch Nicole and I walked around town. I liked the angles of these buildings.

I met the Cornells for lunch at a fantastic Korean Buddhist vegan restaurant in Manhattan after I led a workshop on jQuery at The Future of Web Design conference.
